Products
Choose which of your Shopify products the app delivers, what each one delivers, and how it looks to customers. Configure each product's type, linked content, license keys, and settings before enabling it for sale.
How products work
The app doesn't create products. It adds digital content to products you already sell in Shopify. You configure each one once:
- Choose its type:
- Download Only delivers your content.
- Download & License delivers your content and a license key for every unit sold.
- Link content for customers to download,
- Add license keys for licensed products.
- Enable it. Products start out disabled, so nothing reaches customers until you're ready.
From then on, every paid order that includes the product is processed automatically.
Products with variants
If a Shopify product has variants, each variant is configured separately. Each one has its own type, content, license keys, and settings, and can be enabled on its own. In the products list, these show as Multi-Variant Products. See Terminology for when the app says "product" and when it says "variant".
In this section
📄️ Configuring a Product
Set up a Shopify product for digital delivery: choose Download Only or Download & License, link content, add license keys, adjust its settings, and enable it.
📄️ Enabling and Disabling
Turn a product or variant on or off. Disabling stops new orders from being processed, but never takes anything away from customers who already bought it.
📄️ Product Settings
The settings a single product or variant can override: button text, license key terminology, Shopify inventory sync, and restocking returned keys.
📄️ Custom Products
Deliver content to a single order instead of every order for a product. Attach files or links to a line item after the sale, for one-off or made-to-order items.
📄️ Exporting Products
Download your configured products as a CSV file, with each variant's type, status and license key counts.
📄️ Statistics
What each number on a product or variant means: linked content, downloads, storage, and its license keys by status, and how they relate to each other.
📄️ Deleting Products
What deleting a product from the app removes, including the license keys and line items on past orders, and why disabling is usually the better choice.
📄️ Terminology
Why the app says Product, Variant, or Product/Variant, depending on whether a Shopify product has variants of its own.
